I was born in NYC, and spent teenage years in Sweden. Loved music since my first Archies and Partridge Family obscessions. I taught myself guitar, and when I returned to NYC I had a few lessons with Richard Lloyd of Television. 16 years later, he produced my first CD, Firepop - as well as played fierce guitar throughout.

I have played with so many amazing folks in the New York rock world. Peter Stuart, Dennis Diken (Smithereens) Ira Elliot (Nada Surf), Joe McGinty (Losers Lounge) Tammy Faye Starlight, Rob Norris (Bongos) ... I could list hundreds of inspiring luminaries! Now I live in the Hudson Valley but still dip in and out of NYC and LOVE connecting with new evolutions of our rich music scene.

My original songs have been used over 300 times in TV shows (Cable, Network and PBS) as well as online (A&E promo for The Sopranos, Scrubs: Season Two, Popular (Disney) and commercials, including a national spot for Kodak. I have released 3 full length albums and several singles.

I am in the beginning stages of putting together a new release, a collection of songs that are all produced by different people I have had the pleasure of working with. Details coming soon!

My first CD "Firepop"

FIREPOP (1999) was produced by and features guitarist Richard Lloyd of Television. All my favorite musicians joined us in the studio! Staright dream team: Peter Stuart on bass, Dennis Diken (Smithereens) and Ira Elliot (Nada Surf) on drums, Joe McGinty on keyboards, Jane Scarpontoni on cello, Royston Langdon (Space Hog) on vocals and Gene Holder (dB's) and Bryce Goggin engineered. I love this CD! It documents a musical highlight of my life . All songs are mine except "Salta Diamanter" a Swedish song by my friends Lolita Pop. my second CD "second kiss"

Second Kiss (2004) was produced by John Agnello and features Peter Stuart on bass, Ira Elliot (Nada Surf) on drums, Andy Burton on keyboards, Deni Bonet on violin and I played all of the guitar myself. The songs are more on the pop side. I'm very proud of this CD too!

my third album "Bibi Farber"

This release (2011) features 8 songs produced by Steve Bill, a gifted guitarist and musical director that has an illustrious career that includes playing with Burt Bacharach and doing some musical direction for "Dancing With The Stars". I wanted more "commercial" arrangements of the songs, and I'm really thrilled with the results. Steve Bill made these songs sound like commercial radio hits. I'm especially proud of "World Is Waking UP Right Now" which is a song I wrote about the Occupy Wall Street movement, which I resonated with. The song holds up beautifully to today's awakening as well.

This release was never pressed to CD, but is available on major streaming platforms.

Single: Headless horseman (2018)

This is a fun one. I re-imagined a vintage Halloween gem, originally recorded by Bing Crosby for Disney in 1949. I called in Richard Lloyd, Dennis Diken and Peter Stuart, who performed on my first album "Firepop" (produced by Richard Lloyd). This track is produced by Greg Talenfeld at OK Records. Happy Halloween!

Single: your sweet time (2014)

My favorite song of mine: this song is a 2014 collaboration between myself and my good friend and first songwriting partner in New York, Greg Talenfeld. We had not worked together in over 25 years when he gave me, as a recent birthday gift, a production of this song. I am thrilled to present it to you.

My catalogue of songs is available on a non-exclusive basis for licensing. Exclusive arrangements can of course be made for the right situation. I currently control 100% of my publishing, and am registered with BMI.

To date, my songs have been used in over 300 instances in TV shows, (cable, network and PBS) as well as online (A&E promo for The Sopranos), videos and DVDs (Scrubs: Season Two, “Popular” (Disney) and commercials; including a national spots for Kodak and Lifetime TV.

I have one “work for hire” project, a theme song that was created for the “Kid’s Science Challenge,” a national contest created by Jim Metzner, host of the NPR program “Pulse Of The Planet.”
