I believe this is the finest song I've ever written, Arranged, produced and recorded by my dear friend and talented musician
Greg Talenfeld,
OK Records studio in Nyack
George Jacobs and I present our spin on the Irish classic "Christmas in Killarney" Instead, we're singing of the joys of our
small hamlet in the Hudson Valley of New York. Welcome to Kerhonkson! Merry Christmas!
This is a commercial for Lifetime TV I was hired to play guitar in. What a day! Got to work at a sound stage in Queens, they hired someone to transport me and all my equipment and look at that rocker girl jewelry they bought for me to wear! Believe it or not, that is a written piece of music the producers wanted me to play that I memorized.
I have re-imagined this vintage Halloween gem, and called in Richard Lloyd (Television), Dennis Diken (The Smithereens) and Peter Stuart, all of who performed on my first album "Firepop" (produced by Richard Lloyd). Originally recorded by Bing Crosby for the 1949 Disney cartoon "The Headless Horseman"
This track is produced by Greg Talenfeld
at OK Records in Nyack NY. Happy Halloween!
In year 2000 or so my song Shine from Firepop was used in this commercial for Kodak. I was thrilled. Paid great and it launched a successful foray into music licensing.
One day Sandra and Boxer were in the garden and FOUR Outdoor Bunnies came to say hi! Did you know cottontails and domestics are not even the same species? But they are curious about being friends...
www.sandrathefreerangesuperbunny.com is where you can read all about Sandra- the light brown domestic female here, in her own words and Boxer (white male) and their pal Bella. Ghostwritten by Bibi Farber
From The Who's Quadrophenia, this seminal song just came pouring out as I was about to drive to Tanglewood to hear the orchestral version of my favorite Rock Opera (2017)
The great Patti Rothberg and I performed this little Andres Sister gem for a tribute at The Treehouse.
A song by Bibi Farber about all the billion things we will have to make ourselves when there is no more cheap manufacturing, cheap oil & endless resources at our disposal.
Billion Things words and music copyright Bibi Farber 2010
We're gonna have to make about a billion things gonna make the stuff that goes on our sunburns and bee stings gonna have to make it all ourselves all the lava lamps rubber stamps and things that Staples sells Gonna get a little bit expensive The learning curve will definitely be intensive We're gonna have to make about a billion things gonna have to make all of our own beach balls and porch swings gonna have to make the hammers and nails and all the pink ribbons little girls put in their pigtails Gonna take us in a new direction Gonna start a brand new connection I'll make for you and you make for me make something strong I'll make somthing pretty And we'll feel alive Slow down as we go down this new road we'll survive find our way and make each day something special we get to explore nothing's like before We're gonna have to make all our Ipods and cellphones and paper cups for all of those summertime snow cones Someone better make sneakers and shoes and someone else better learn to make booze there are gonna be so many new unknowns I may as well be living with The Flintstones I'll make for you and you make for me Make something strong I'll make something pretty our sun will always rise and shine close your eyes and redefine we're standing at the edge of a brand new time we're gonna have to make about a billion things gonna have to make all of our own picks and guitar strings Gonna have to make the flat screen TV's Eat home made crackers with home made cream cheese How am I ever going to get dental floss and all the stuff you're going to need for your hair loss? Can anyone make a coffee maker? Can anyone even make a salt shaker? I'll make for you and you make for me Make something strong I'll make something pretty But someone's gonna have to make lamp wires and someone's gonna have to make hair dryers and someone's gonna have to make frying pans If you don't live in the south you can't have pecans! Do you think the human race is gonna prevail? You think that we can get along without e-mail? Forget about losing and winning Here comes a brand new beginning. we'll feel alive Slow down as we go down this new road we'll survive find our way and make each day something precious we get to explore nothing's like before

This song "One Thing" from the album Firepop was part of a set we played in Örebro, Sweden for the big Rockmagasinet reunion in 2012. On drums: Peter Olsen, on guitar, Bo Danerius, on bass Håkan Eriksson. I lived there from 1978 to 1983 as a teenager and that's where I fell into music. At the end of the song you can hear me explain (in Swedish) how Peter Olsen told me to show up with my bass and start playing whether I "could play" or not. He and I and Bo D. and a guy named Snulle formed the first band I played in: Container Club.
I love The Zombies! This from their epic Odessy and Oracle , 1968.
I deeply miss Pat Dinizio of The Smithereens, who passed away on December 12, 2017. Not only was he one of my favorite singers AND songwriters of all time, but we became friends. He welcomed me to tour with him, opening up shows on one of his house concert tours. Pat's audience is THE best. I also had the honor of performing a few times at his legendary Memorial Day parties in his backyard, which led to more local house concerts. Miss you Pat! Here is my version of Blood and Roses.
