Music For Elders and More

Music !

  • Elder  Care and Rehab Facilities, Strolling, Hospice, Special Events, Celebrations, Birthday Parties,  Retail Environments, Restaurants, Hospitals, Schools, Showrooms, Trade Shows and more

I have performed over 150 shows in Nursing Homes as of mid-2019.

Of all the entertainment

work I have done, it is truly my favorite environment.

I'll get them dancing!

I have seen toddlers take off like Mexican jumping beans and seniors  stand up out of wheelchairs and start to dance - to the very same  song. I witnessed both, at separate parties one weekend while playing  Elvis Presley's Jailhouse Rock. Age range: 3 to 93.

What do they love? Fun lyrics, enduring melodies and a BEAT!

I  believe that music provides a much needed SHARED experience at parties  and celebrations. We have enough targeted and specialized entertainment  for our given demographic.

It is my experience, from years of  playing in rock clubs, bars, singer-songwriter venues, private parties,  weddings, hospitals, nursing homes and children's events that people  respond to the same great music at all ages. Seniors  don't need to endlessly hear the same tired standards. Kid's don't need  only the patronizing silly songs. We all want to hear well written,  upbeat, timeless popular music- that we can enjoy together!

Musicians On Call

Caption:  Daniel O'Dowd seems tickled by Bibi Farber, who sports a bright pink wig and eyelashes on her musical rounds.

The New York Post did a story on "Musicians On Call", an organization that connects musicians with hospitals.

Bibi volunteered for 10 years, singing at patients bedsides.

Karin Karlander, store manager at Gudrun Sjöden in Soho New York

"Bibi Farber is a wonderful entertainer and person. She is very  talented and professional with a very broad repertoire. She is an  absolute joy to work with, friendly and dependable. She is always my  first choice when we need Live Music at our store!"

Sheryl Larsen, Activities Director at The Norwegian Christian Home, Bay Ridge, NY

"What a joy it was for us at the Norwegian Christian Home &  Health Center this past July when Bibi Farber performed for us at a  Resident Barbecue in our outdoor Courtyard.  The selection of songs she  chose was perfect for our Short-term Rehab population and she played  loud enough to be heard and soft enough so our residents could  socialize.  Although she met them for the first time at the event, she  intuitively knew how to please our crowd.  She received great  compliments from those that reside here as well as from Employees and  Volunteers. Bibi made it easy for us by bringing and setting up her own  equipment so we could tend to other things. She fit right in and even  though this was our first experience with her and her music, we weren't  disappointed.  She proved talented, professional and friendly.  It was a  delight to work with her. We took a chance on new entertainment and she  exceeded our expectations.  We would like her to come back to our  Facility in Brooklyn for other programs to include working with our  Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Residents.  At the end of the day, I  could say with confidence that a good time was had by all."

Tim Dewald / Friends of Stryker Park who hired Bibi for a block party event in June of 2016

"Bibi is talented, that's a given, but it's her flexibility that I really appreciated and made our event special. It says a lot when an artist  has the skill to effortlessly switch from '70's rock to children's music when the audience dictates."
